Our Rock

We recently celebrated this guy's birthday.

Bouef Bourguignon served over creamy mashed potatoes, cheesy biscuits with garlic butter and homemade apple pie & ice cream was his dinner of choice.  Grampa & Gramma joined us for the celebration, and Jordan opened his gifts with his usual Lentz fervor (which is to say very little!)

We are so grateful for his presence in our lives.  He is a great father and a wonderful husband.

We are so thankful for him and look forward to another year of adventures. Happy Birthday!!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

After all of our indulgent partying, it felt so good to get up to the mountains to snow shoe.  It was a gorgeous winter day with temps in the low 20's and abundant sunshine.

Of course we couldn't go without our trusty companion Freya.  It sure was easy to see why some folks say that you should "fear the beard!" when it comes to her breed.

We stopped to have lunch in a small grove of pine trees.  Jordan and Dad built us a warm fire, while Mom and I made some lunch.  It was definitely fun to frolic and play the eskimo way!

The Festivities Continue...

Jordan's folks came to visit last week, and we spent a wonderful few days enjoying their company and celebrating even more, first with Grampa and Gramma at their home.

The next day we celebrated Mom, Annabel and Jordan's December & January birthdays.

And since two parties in two days is clearly not enough, the gang spent a hilarious third day playing Christmas bingo and winning raffle prizes.  It's not a Lentz vacation without some sort of work involved!  😂

Dad did the calling,

while Mom doled out the prizes with her dazzling smile!

Even without the abundant goodies, we appreciate Dad & Mom taking the time to drive through bad weather and four mountain passes to hang out.  We loved every minute!
