Warming Up

Over spring break the kids and I hopped on a plane for a week-long visit with my folks in Arizona.  What a great time!  It was heavenly to chill after working on the house for several months.  Of course we couldn't just sit still the entire time, so...  Thane had an awesome time fishing with Grampa and cousin Nathan.

We girls spent our time shopping and eating yummy food.

A definite highlight of the week was all of the time that the cousins got to spend together.  They all get along so well.

Dad, Annabel and I got to scratch another national park (Saguaro) off our list.  What an interesting place!

We ended the week with a real bang when Jon and Kim treated us to a night at a local carnival.  Junk food, roller coasters and other amusements, movies, popcorn and train rides.  It was a spectacular ending to a spectacular visit!

It's All a Blur

The last few months have been a blur to say the least.  I temporarily worked at the COVID vaccination clinic at the hospital, and then found a full time job in the office of Thane's elementary school.  The kids have been busy too.  Annabel joined the swim team where she favored the backstroke.

Thane and Jordan spent a few days trapping in the creek bottoms of several nearby ranches where they got a few raccoons and some beavers.

On the house front, a LOT has happened. We sheet rocked, put shiplap on the walls, and installed bead board ceilings.

Then we got to paint it all.

We've installed beautiful wood floors and sturdy tile, while our new front and back doors let in loads of light.

We are getting close to the end now.  Can't wait to show you the final pics!
