Point Lobos State Park

Today we went for a 5+ mile hike at Point Lobos State Nature Reserve.  GORGEOUS!!! The trail follows little coves along the coast, quaintly framing the village of Carmel across the bay.

Along the way there were lots of opportunities to watch sea otters and sea lions playing in the water or sunning themselves on the rocks.
Then we found ourselves at the beach, searching for sea shells and exploring tide pools.  The kids were fascinated by the purple sea urchins.
That makes over 23.5 miles of hiking in the past week.  We are tired, but happy.
