Pacific Wild

Yesterday we made it to the Pacific, and the kids were thrilled.  We stopped at the beach to have a quick picnic before hitting the road, and Annabel &Thane were happy to discover that America's two oceans aren't all that different.
While the beaches on both coasts are sandy, the wildlife is decidedly different.  As we were driving along, we came across a group of 7 male elk hanging out by the side of the road.
We made camp at an RV park smack dab in the middle of the Avenue of the Giants.
We are lucky enough to be here during blackberry season.  Almost the facility is surrounded by
huge blackberry bushes.  Score!
