Progress

 

The new house is coming along well - especially considering that we are working on it part time and that the crew consists of Jordan, me (a complete novice!) and Jordan's 79 year old grampa.  Oh, and we get lots of "help" from the kids on the weekend!

We've gotten the foundation and subfloor down, the first floor exterior walls framed, and the second floor load bearing wall and subfloor installed.

We've even managed to get the garage framed in.

We've been working hard, but we try to take a few moments here and there to enjoy the experience.  This was especially easy the other morning when we watched a hot air balloon land in a neighbor's field.

 

And it just wouldn't be the same without our faithful mascot Blue (Grampa's mini Australian Shepherd):
