We just finished having an amazingly wonderful visit with Mamma & Pappa Lentz, who spent hours (literally!) traveling to/from airports and enduring 3 flights and 2 layovers to get here. The kids were THRILLED to be with their grandparents. Mamma taught Annabel to knit:
Thane was ecstatic to go fishing with his Daddy & Pappa on several occasions:
We went antiquing, ate lobster, celebrated Papa's birthday, had a beach picnic, worked on house projects, and visited the local shops and restaurants. Of course, huge pieces of Helen's famous pie were also on the menu.
Mom gave me the first installment of a stunning throw that she is knitting for me (more on that in a later post). She also made me this super cool sign to put in the family room.
We had an amazing week and are very grateful for the Lentz fam!

Cheers to Summer!
It's definitely summertime here in Downeast Maine, and we are loving the season's abundance. Ironically, most of the fruit we ate last week came from Washington State. Here's Thane enjoying an amazingly delish Ranier cherry.
We've also taken advantage of the weather to have some picnics at a small beach that we've discovered. It's completely devoid of tourists (and locals) - SCORE!
The skies are a brilliant blue, the perfect backdrop for some really cool contrail patterns in the air above our home.
Alas, there is a downside to summer - MOWING! Lucky for us, Jordan got our old John Deere working, and I am happy to report that we look (mostly!) respectable again.
Cheers!
